It's so hard to believe that this time last year Heidi and I embarked on one of the most epic adventures we'll ever experience! We loaded up the Honda with all the essentials (tricked out with a full bed might I add) and set off on our 9,000 mile journey from Waterloo to Vancouver Island and back through the Western United States. Taking the long route around Lake Superior, we truly gained a sense of just how huge the province of Ontario is. Once we finally hit Manitoba our goal was to reach Saskatoon, where our good friend Paige was waiting to put us up for a few nights. Really enjoyed everything that city had to offer and just so happened to visit during a record heat wave which was nice for the unpredictable month of May. After a three day (and one long hazy night) stop in Edmonton to visit friends we met in Montreal the year prior, it was time to hit the road and head to Kelowna.
We promised each other that during this trip we wouldn't plan much, but Kelowna was the only stop where we had a real deadline. The breathtaking city of Kelowna (where apparently it doesn't rain) was the setting of Heidi's company conference in 2014 and where we're headed again this year for a highly anticipated repeat! Our time spent in Kelowna was incredible, and our host Brad Pattison of Pattison CTE's gave us the best local tour we could have asked for!
On the way home we partied in the eccentric and proudly weird city of Portland, explored the natural wonder that is Yellowstone National Park, and trekked through the red sand landscapes of Wyoming. I could go on and on about this one but to keep things short and sweet I'll let the photos speak for the rest!
Stay tuned for photo's from this year's conference when we return!
